フィクスチャーとはインプラント本体の部分を言います。つまり、これがインプラントです。上に見えている被せ物ではなく、骨の中に入っているのが本体なのです。これが意外に知られていないです。そのため、一番重要な部分は骨の中に隠れています。フィクスチャーは、手術で骨に穴をあけて中に埋め込みます。このフィクスチャーは約3ヶ月～6ヶ月程度で骨とくっつきます。そうなったら上に被せ物を作っていく形になります。このフィクスチャーがうまく骨とくっつかないと手術がうまくいかなかったこととなります。
